...thought I would feel sad but I don't!
And, treat yourself.
New beginnings! Agree and bought a new handbag!
All the best.
Best wishes for a long and happy retirement.
Good for you @Marshall .., you go girl!
I don't intend to retire!
You'll go back sometime?
Retirement is GREAT!
Oh, sorry. Best wishes for the future.
I have plans for part time work - certainly not supply teaching.
Having some choice is great.
Ooh, what kind of work? OFSTED inspector?
Two years for me now. Never looked back. Absolutely loving the freedom from stress.
I just do a bit of supply work to top up my pension but I can pick and choose when I work.
OMG - what a nightmare that would be! I would fall out with everyone immediately.
Looking at being an ITT mentor working with the local university.
Ha ha. I guess there are two kinds of retired HT.
1 do go on to become OFSTED inspector
Group 1 - *spit*
Group 2 - thank you
Spend it on sweeties.
Mrs J did that for three years. She loved it but it was stressful at times as not all students were cut out for teaching and some failed the course.
Marshall you're an inspiration. With everything you've got going on it's great you're making plans for the future. I've just had my last pay cheque too- no more paperwork and fighting the LA for money to support vulnerable children. Great to leave those to someone else! Plenty of plans and a term time holiday booked!
susanrk - ohh for a holiday!
