Larkin and Abse LT1 WJEC : Any help very gratefully received!

Discussion in 'English' started by MissKellyC, Sep 20, 2010.

  1. Hi,
I'm covering a few classes for a colleague and will be teaching Larkin and Abse- the LT1 module on the WJEC spec. I haven't taught any A Level since I trained ( which was only 2 years ago) I was wondering does anyone have any good approaches to the texts- I am familiar with The Whitsun Weddings but have not yet read Abse ( that, obviously is my first task!) They are quite an able AS class, many of them gained A grades in the summer. Any help or pointers would be amazing. I'm in the process of reading the spec now so really apart from knowing Larkin am very much starting from scratch!
  2. Have a look at the last couple of pages of the Zig Zag revision guide on Larkin. It draws links between the two which are useful.
