Ladybird music - from a suite of other pieces about insects/animals?

Discussion in 'Music' started by walnuthead, Jun 3, 2011.

  1. Dear All
Does anyone know the name/piece of music which describes a ladybird? It's bit Debussy or Ravel like. Used to play it long ago in an orchestra. Clock-a-clay rings a bell, but can't find it on search engines. Thanks.

Richard Rodney Bennett: Clock-a-clay (Marienkäfer): No. 4 from The Insect World.
(Currently set for Grade 4 singing, and a favourite classroom song in bygone days).
