Lack of foundation phase experience.

Discussion in 'Cymru - education news' started by Leanne1987, Apr 14, 2011.

  1. Hi!

I was just after a bit of advice really. I completed the primary PGCE last June (5-11) and since have had a couple of ks2 PPA cover jobs (temp).

I trained in England and my experience has been in KS2 in Wales so I have not had much opportunity to get to grips hands on with the foundaion phase.

I have recently started volunteering one morning a week in a foundation phase setting.

However, as I am now applying to some foundation phase jobs and my lack of foundation phase experience/knowledge is obviously going to go against me.

Has anyone got any advice/tips/help they can offer which may give me more of a chance at getting these jobs?

    Thanks
    Leanne
    xx
