Time to go and have a nice lie down in a darkened wardrobe Vince !
Pseuds corner would be more suitable.
That's absolute monarchy for you
Footage has emerged of a highly placed corrupt & sinister government official encouraging a greedy, ungrateful son of Adam to bring to Narnia his violent, radicalised family for the purposes of stealth regime-change and free hand-outs of sticky, fragrant confectionary:
Down with this sort of thing.
Musicals, cats and now Narnia.
Shouldn't the thread be titled "Interests that are best kept private"?
Monarchy in entertainment only really comes in the likes of King Oliver, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Prince Buster.
What about the artist formerly known as Prince?
The one who now calls himself squiggle you mean ?
I'll confess to admiring Tilda's performance in the film.
You say that like it's usually something to whisper in hushed tones...
She was great in Orlando, We need to talk about Kevin, the Narnia movies, she was one of the few bright spots in Constantine, she was grand in Grand Budapest Hotel and hopefully she brings something interesting to the mix in Doctor Strange as The Ancient One.
Well at my age it probably is
Actually I think I'm underselling Constantine... I liked it.
Stormare owned that film:
She does grow lovely rice. Bit on the expensive side compared to Asda's budget range, but you get what you pay for, don't you?
Having given the above a little thought, it brings home how pointless the British monarchy in that they provide no discernible entertainment and not a single one has even been known to take a lesson from the Pearly Kings and Queens in how to play the spoons.
What's it all about?
I propose that from now on, nobody should be given a title of any sort until they've earned recognition from their prowess as a musician.
If we're talking royalty then let's not forget The King:
I'm not sure that is entirely true Duke.
I'm pretty sure that one of them back in my youth did, but which one I cannot remember (and the internet is fairly useless for that era)
I'll have a gander at some film archives tomorrow
