Kumon or First Class Learning

Discussion in 'Primary' started by re22, Dec 7, 2011.

  1. Hi
I have been looking at these franchise opportunities and was wondering what views people have on them.
    Are they worth going into?
Do they really develop students literacy/numeracy levels?
Have any signed up with FCL, First Class learning; if so how are you finding it?
    Some view appreciated.

    Neither
    not in my experience

  4. If you practise mental maths for 15 minutes every night then you will get better at mental maths. This is all Kumon does. In my opinion.

I have no objection to my pupils going to such things. I have no objection to them coming to school to promote themselves by doing free assemblies and workshops.

If parents want to spend money on sending their children, then great.

Would I send a child of mine? Nopes. A Private tutor would be a better use of money.
