KS1 tests

Discussion in 'Primary' started by Surfingthewaves, Jan 11, 2011.

  1. Hello all
Apologies for my ignorance but can someone please clarify the following for me:
Is it statutory for Year 2 children to complete a national curriculum test papers in reading, writing and maths before the end of Year 2 (if they are working within the levels of these test papers)?
I thought that Year 2 teachers used old test papers merely to assist them in the end of KS1 teacher assessment.
