Discussion in 'Primary' started by streetparade, Mar 14, 2009.

  1. Please can someone tell me how KS1 Science SATs levels are arrived at? Is there a test? If not, what guidance is there for arriving a a level.

    Thanks

there are no sub levels - ie no level 2a, b, c etc - only level 1/2/3 etc.
There are level descriptors - see your national curriculum hand book - or primary resources has good resources.

You should assess children as they are working - ie you can tick off when they can do something. Most of the weighting in SC1 - ie investigating.

    hope this helps.
