Go to the NC and snip and paste the end of year PoS.
Then go to your maths policy and pick out the bits which determine how you teach it all: it will be different for everyone but should include: whole class teaching, longer periods of time per topic, pre-teaching, what you do with SEN and whizzy finishers, your view on worksheets and how their work will be evidenced (photos?) and assessed. You could put in some useful info about vocabulary (don't use the word sum / we call it Hundreds Tens and Ones not Units nowadays; what number bonds are; the order and wording of times tables learning) plus some pictures of things like Part Part whole diagrams, 10s frames, Numicon, bead strings and Dienes - stuff parents many not know. Then show them where your Calculation Policy is on your school website (if you don't have one, copy the NCETM one or I think WR have produced one too) - our parents have found it v useful when we tell them we are moving on to addition etc. as it has loads of pictures and vocab to illustrate how we do everything.
    Keep it simple.
