KS1 African maths

Discussion in 'Primary' started by gememily, Jan 15, 2011.

  1. I am looking for ideas for a KS1 display!
At the moment our topic is Africa and I have been asked to do a one off maths lesson based around Africa with the end result being some good display work.
    Any ideas???
    (It's a year 2 class)

  2. Patterns? To make some artwork but with symmetrical/repeating patterns.

  3. Thanks for help. Unfortunately this is something that we have already covered!
Was thinking about measures - something to do with water pots. How much they hold, how many cups you can get from the pot.
Or maybe data handling - how far can each member of class carry a pot of water on their head?
Not sure though really! Been going around in circles for hours...
