Which literacy intervention would you recommend for children in KS 2 who are more than a year behind with their reading?

Depends what the difficulty is. We use Fresh Start, RALF, WASP, and Toe By Toe as intervention schemes or individualised programmes as required

    We use Rapid Reading.

Acceleread accelewrite has been effective in sorting out decoding and spelling problems for some of my strugglers. Their reading and spelling ages have jumped after a month on it. But it needs doing every day and a member of staff well trained to deliver it.
