Knife skills

    Well, here's one that he, along with Nigel Slater, DID inspire to cook, about 13 years ago.

    (a bloody big kid and all, as my long suffering wife will gladly tell you!)

    I do tidy very well afterwards...
    I just make a hell of a mess along the way. Unless I'm feeling organised, which I'm getting much better at being as I age disgracefully...

    I have a friend whose husband is a chef - a very "noble" one, I have to say, they have a very posh hotel (and boy does his stuff taste good - it was his wild boar gulasch I got a doggy bag of recently).
    But he is so messy - he is so used to having an apprentice tidy up after him, that the floor, the walls, the appliances, EVERYTHING is a right bleddy mess!
