Kidney Failure and applying for NQT positions

    Focus on how you've not let your illness stop you from pursuing a career in teaching. I would emphasise the fact that, even though you've had to spend a lot of time in hospital, you are dedicated enough to teaching to have found a way to complete your PGCE and are now looking forward to the challenge of your NQT year following your transplant. You might also want to mention something about how your health is likely to be in September - best to be upfront and reassure/warn potential employers about how much time you could potentially need off work.
