I am in a PRU, and we have pupils joining us (and leaving) throughout the year. I am looking for baseline assessments that cover all the threads that we can use to assess where the kids are on entry to us.
We currently do a piece of autobiographical writing that is leveled, and work from there. However, things are changing, and we are now looking at more rigorous baseline assessment.....
Can someone give me some ideas as to what to do for this, and where to look? I am not an English specialist.......
    Thanks very much

  2. Try searching for 'APP tests' (Assessing Pupil Progress). Were all the rage when y9 SATS were still going; you can use them to assess across the ability spectrum. Would think you can probably find some online somewhere...?
