    Happy hols folks.
Hoping someone here can help me. I want to rewrite the KS3 long term planning and really want to begin by making sure I make provision for all the NC requirements. For example, I realise there is a requirement for Shakespeare to be included but is the study of texts from other cultures still there?
I have tried to look at the NC website and tried Googling but seem to be getting nowhere fast! Grrh.
Can anyone help? Either a link or just the info would be really appreciated.

Do any of these links help?
This has information about the review of the NC:
    http://www.education.gov.uk/schools/teachingandlearning/curriculum/nationalcurriculum
with an update (21st Dec 2011) here:
    http://www.education.gov.uk/schools/teachingandlearning/curriculum/nationalcurriculum/a0075667/national-curriculum-review-update
From the text on this last link:
Instead of new curricula for English, mathematics, science and PE being introduced from 2013 - and any other subjects in 2014 - the new curriculum for all subjects will now be introduced in 2014.
So I assume all stays as it was until 2014.
English Section on the site is here:
    http://www.education.gov.uk/schools/teachingandlearning/curriculum/secondary/b00199101/english
and a pdf of NC English here:
    http://media.education.gov.uk/assets/files/pdf/e/english%202007%20programme%20of%20study%20for%20key%20stage%203.pdf
I'm not sure if this is any different to the information you gathered for yourself, but this was the most recent info I could find.
