Keeping geography as a separate subject in Year 7&8

    My Head wants to integrate humanities, I think geo should be taught separately. I need some help with convincing arguments, how it makes a broad and balanced curriculum, how the key concepts are important to learn ...

    Go through the national curriculum and show how it links to the GCSE you've chosen. I would stress how much is in the GCSE and use their baseline - do they know much when they arrive? If, like ours they know v little, I'd stress how much of the KS1 & 2 curriculum you're teaching to prep them for the GCSE.
