Just book on the 'winning that job' course

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by carly27, May 10, 2012.

  1. I have just taken the first step my booking myself on the course this weekend- there goes the pair of shoes I was saving for...but it is all in the name of a job! woooo!

Question...what do I need to bring? Just myself and a notebook/pen.

    Eeeek!

Yes, just yourself and something to take notes.
And do make sure that you know how to get there. I'm sure that Julia has given you all exact instructions, but here are mine too:
Stage 1: Get to London. If you're walking, probably best to start straight away. [IMG]
Stage 2: Get to Holborn - best on the tube, but from Waterloo you can get a bus - when you go out of the station (because of the AWFUL building works, it's easiest to leave by the main entrance) it's the last bus stop on the left - they all go to Holborn from that stop.
Stage 3 Get from Holborn to Red Lion Square:
On the bus, if you have come from Waterloo you get off at Holborn Station, near Boots. Walk up the road to Sainsbury's, cross the road towards the tube station, and then go along High Holborn, and follow directions below.
The only possible spot for getting lost is if you arrive at Holborn Tube Station, which has 2 exits.
You need the exit on High Holborn. Leave the station, turn right along that pavement and walk for 100 yards until you see first Pret a Manger and then Waitrose on your right. On the other side of the road you will see a large sort of arch - basically it's a big block of offices where the road goes through.
Cross the road by the crossing nearest to Waitrose (please wait for the Green Man - the traffic can be fierce there), go up the road under the arch and in 200 m you will see Red Lion Square on your right. Go to the second entrance to the square, by the Boris bikes, and the TSL building is along on the left towards the end.
Hope you have a good time!

And you saw what this poster said about the course:
Dear Theo - I got the job! (Plus evidence of why going to the TES seminar is a good idea)
