Joseph and his technicolor dreamcoat script

Discussion in 'Primary' started by Nicolasassjones, Jun 7, 2011.

  1. Can anyone help?
I want to stage the 60 minute version of Joseph but I cannot find a libretto or script anywhere. Does one exist or is the idea that we write our own words, in which case, has anyone written a script that they would share with a very grateful year 6 teacher?

You need to buy a licence from The Really Useful Company.

They should be able to provide script and score. Alternatively, the script is available on line (google Joseph script) and the score widely available including on Amazon.
    We usually use Dress Circle
    http://www.dresscircle.co.uk/
for any musical bits and pieces - behind the big website is actually a small shop in the West End who are happy to order and source things for customers.

  4. Here is a link to the page of a supplier of both the full vocal score and an abridged vocal score (further down the web page):
    http://www.musicroom.com/Search/Find.aspx?searchtext=Joseph
You can view the list of songs included in each. There is no libretto available because there are no spoken words in the show. The songs tell the whole story.
Hope this is of help. I love this musical. Good luck with your production!

  5. Thanks so much - I have got the permission so it's full steam ahead now.

  6. did you write a script you would like to share?
