I think this is really brilliant, I know of a few celebs that used to be teachers, and who are now 'doing alright'. But this is the first I have heard of a bloke who has a fair bit of celeb status declaring that he wants to drop that and become a (Sec English) teacher.
Anyone else want to wish him well, or give him some tips?

He'll be used to childish behaviour having worked with Chris Evans .

  5. Can I have his old job?

  6. I presume that is why he was off for 3 days?
I think it's great! I just hope that he knows what he's letting himself in for!

Clearly he has enough inherited wealth coming his way, that it matters not one jot what he does from 9-5 each day. And I bet he'll be working in an independent school! Somehow I can't see him in Downtown Tower Hamlets.

What a horrible and condescending comment! Do you know him? Do you know what he is like? I really hope you are not a teacher with patronising and judgemental comments like that.

I've always thought he came across as a lovely bloke. I hope it goes well for him, and that he doesn't end up back in sports journalism, bitter and disillusioned.
(Mind you, I'm not sure how bitter I'd be if my day job involved watching all the sports I wanted to, ever!)

Struggling a bit with Question Time - I keep seeing Hugh as his character in Love Actually and have to keep reminding myself he is NOT the PM.
    More's the pity! [IMG]

I am considering getting in my car and driving to Basingstoke......15 mins pedal to the metal!
    Hmmmm........maybe not! [IMG]
I could offer to put Hugh up in Belle Towers though! Saves on hotel bills [IMG]
The old battleaxe can stay in Premier Travel Inns!
