Jolly new Art teachers.

    Any advice for an experienced artist looking to return but sees that new trainees with their shiny recent college training and cheapness to schools getting the jobs.

    There is a sector which tends to value worth above cost, and that is the independent sector.

    Thanks Geoff heartening words I will pay more attention to vacancies and trends in the independant sector more from now on.

    It goes against the grain of the younger me to be saying so, but having experienced both maintained and independent, the latter is more likely to value different experiences outside the classroom and to allow you to get on with teaching your way.
