While listening to him, bear in mind that the scientists wanted much more of a lockdown.
No need to be, there is nothing to be announced that hasn't been drip-released in the last week. Plus he has made the statement to Parliament and its in all the news now.
This is a prolonged and painful explanation of why dithering is preferable to directive. It is minutely researched and presented as scientific support of governmental cowardice.
Also, when I read it I felt as if I were supposed to be sitting with an audience who had been handed PostIt notes to write on, and then stick on a panel by the door, which would then be picked off and binned as soon as we left the room.
It did not help that the diagram at the beginning looks like a big bottom, so given that you need to twizzle your head right round to read the sideways words, it makes you feel like you are inspecting an ahrsse.
Na, Bake Off is on instead, mildly more informative and useful than Boris.

Oo, is Bake Off on tonight? I stopped watching it for a few years and for some reason (whatever could it BE?) the thought of watching cosy BS on telly appeals to me right now.
A "perilous turning point" was when the Nazis were sending their fighter planes over to try and secure the skies ahead of a land invasion. It warranted a concerted and cohesive response.
Shutting the pubs an hour early, is not the answer to the perilous situation as we are in.
