Johanna Konta, first british woman to reach a grand slam quarter final since....... Zola Budd?
I think it's great- but I haven't heard of her before. Why's that I wonder. What happened to Heather Watson? Haven't heard talk of her at the Australian Open.
She's doing really well, isn't she?
The first time we've had a lad and a lass i the last 16 in Australia since a long time ago-Jo Dury and one of the Lloyd boys I think.
Actually to compare her with Z Budd was a bit (a lot) unfair - Ms Konta has been british since 2012 and had lived here for a while before that.
You forget Andy Murray is 4 times Australian Open finalist
No I haven't-I referred to having a lass as well.
Oh,I see. It has to be man and woman in the same year.
It doesn't have to be, but it's been a Preston Guild since it last happened for UK tennis players.
