Job interview: Hour long literacy lesson based on the Olympics

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by sandiejones, May 14, 2012.

  1. Hi guys,

I need some help. I finally have an interview and I have been instructed to teach an hour literacy lesson about the Olympics to a group of year 2 children.

I have some ideas and need help on the direction:

-Learn about the rings and write about them
    -Olympics poem, not necessarily acrostic
-Instructions for a different game they would want to see in the Olympics
-Watch the mascot story, model story mountain then chn to come up with own story line and fill in story mountain
-Learn about London landmarks and write about them

I think they all seem woolly and hard to teach in a stand alone way.

    Thanks in advance
