Job at a Notice to improve school

Discussion in 'Senior Leadership Team' started by radical_teacher, May 3, 2011.

  1. Would you accept a job (Promotion) at a notice to improve school.

One side say yes as it is a chance to progress in the career ladder but the other side is thinking the problem, stress and what happen if the school fails to improve?
I like to hear people opinion on this and what experience any one had.

    Thanks

  2. Yes, definitely. They need new leadership to help implement change, and you can make a real impact. I would much prefer a school willing to change than one that is high performing and unwilling to do anything 'radical'.

However, as with all these things, it would depend on the nature of the school, what it had to improve and what steps it had already taken. I would want to know the Heads vision etc before saying yes.
