Hello, I have applied for a teaching role in a Primary school. The closing date for the role was 31st of jan and the scheduled interview date is the 11th of feb. When do you think I’ll know if I have been invited for an interview?

No-one knows, is the best answer. They'll need time for shortlisting and to seek references. That's unlikely to start until Mon 3rd. You could phone HR at the school and ask, but you're likely to get a non-committal reply.

I actually know of a case when someone was sent an email in the early hours for an interview that same day.

Obviously one candidate had pulled out, and they decided halfway through a sleepless night to call in somebody else.

That somebody else actually got the job . . .

So never despair, and make sure that all your interview planning is up to the mark.

    Best of luck
