ITT Bursaries

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by jayjaysausage, Jul 24, 2011.

  1. I am starting ITT (Secondary Maths) in September and qualify for bursary.
Can I apply now or do I have to wait till after I start the course?

  2. I thought you got the bursary when you applied for student finance and said okay to sharing the info with your uni?

  3. The bursary is paid by the provider (your university). You do not have to apply. Do make sure that your provider has all your deatils and that you are fully registered (you will be sent details of the registration process). The provider will then pay your bursary direct into your bank account each month. Most providers start the payments in October - checkj with your provider the date on which the payments will start. Some providers make 9 payments others divide them into 10.
