The father of one of our boarder's popped over from Tunisia to visit her this weekend and brought boxes of fresh dates for each of the resident staff.
One kilogram for each of us. They didn't last long, I can tell you!
They were soooooo yummy - I will find it very hard having to resort to the usual 'Eat Me' at Christmas.
Anyone else receiving interesting and unusual pressies from grateful parents at this time of year?

  2. How lovely. I don't get so much as a Christmas card!
  3. Never had a present from a parent. I would be surprised if I ever got one - seems less common in secondary anyway.

Not from a parent, but from my form when I left a school a few years ago. They clubbed together and got me a rugby shirt from a team local to where I am from originally. It was that season's as well.
