I can't work out how it's related to Brexit though.

And this need to prescribe antibiotics for everyone, or to animals, for whatever reason.

    Hmmm... good point...

With Brexit, the UK will be forced to turn to China where once we could rely on the continent... China will then dump plague victims on us... much like the Mongols did with the Genoese merchants of Crimea.

Flagellants will roam the streets again, Monty Python sketches will become everyday life! Dooooomed!

Plague is nature's way of thinning out the population. At least the pneumonic version is quick.

It needs antibiotics to treat. Antibiotics are becoming less effective due to overuse. American farms regularly use antibiotics in feed due to lower welfare standards. Brexit will mean Britain accepting these lower standards to get a food trade deal thus being part of the problem.

How's that Plague to Brexit in 4 steps!

More concerned about the fact that many scientists say antibiotics are becoming largely ineffective due to over-use. Can't help that they're used in animals so much either...

China is very advanced in some things medical. You'd expect them to, with more millionaires per square foot than anywhere else. Whether millionaires ever get the plague though, might be a different story.

China is among the worst places in the world for over-use of antibiotics in animals. I listened to a podcast a few years ago about it, that described tracing the source of dead pigs that had been dumped in a river and washed down stream, that had something to do with the antibiotic resistance through over use.

I'll see if I can find it.

China has the most billionaires per square foot.

I didn't know square feet were a pre-requisite to being a billionaire. Could explain a lot.....
