As 75% of the population of Israel are of middle eastern or arab descent (arab jews, muslims, christians, druze, etc) it makes perfect sense to leave Israel where it is and not dismantle it to be located somewhere else. Its only right that Jews have a right to their homeland exactly where it is. A separate Jewish homeland would never have been allowed under the Ottomans so hence the proposals you linked to, although the Ottomans did move ethnic populations around their empire. For example, North Africans and Circassians into Syria and Palestine. For centuries Jews did their best to live peacefully among their host populations despite the progroms and discrimination but the longing amongst Jews was always a return to Palestine.

As I said (and linked) the Jews THEMSELVES considered places other than Palestine to have the Jewish state. So using your logic the Jewish people also tick several anti-semitic boxes.

    It doesn't excuse your anti-Semitism.

The links seem to mostly show that jewish people in Europe were offered a tract of land somewhere by European powers who considered their Jewish populations to be a problem.

As silvaran said, a jewish homeland in Palestine would never happen under Ottoman rule.

The reason some early Zionists considered the locations or the offers of territory were because they were a potential stepping stone to their ancestral home and offered a degree of self determination and safety from anti semitic states and populations.

Nor the Zionists that also considered other locations. If I am anti-semitic then so are they.

After what the Jews went through in the Holocaust and before that, I think it only right that somewhere be found so that they can live in safety, free from the persecution and atrocities they have endured. I just don't understand why they should do to others what has been done to them. Ethnically cleansing and oppressing Palestinians in order to establish a Jewish state is, I am guessing, not what the 6 million Jews that perished under European hands would want.

You would think the last people who would want this would be Jews yet this is how things are.

Learn more about the founding of Israel. You are woefully ill-informed.

Jews were expelled from Arab states only after the state of Israel was created, it was the cause of their expulsion!

If they wanted to live in Palestine, why did they change its name?

So the creation of Israel by the UN justified the explusion of a million Arab Jews from middle east states? Many of those communities had existed for 1900 years. Should those 1 million jewish refugees and their descendants have a right to return to their homes?

A name given to the territory by the British. What did the Ottoman Empire call the area? I think the original idea of most Zionists was to share the development of Palestine with the local populations.

It was more to do with the invasion and destruction of Palestine, the UN did not create Israel. Palestine was invaded and the invaders declared the country of Israel. The UN had to recognise it!

You havent read your own link. The UN voted for partition in 1947 provoking a civil war not a foreign invasion. Although thats not entirely correct, invaders came from Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan. But the Jewish insurgents were certainly also guilty of brutality and ethnic cleansing.

The UN report you give a link to was written by 18 ARAB STATES. So 18 arab states accuse Israel of "apartheid", would be a more honest caption.

"ESCWA comprises 18 Arab states in Western Asia and aims to support economic and social development in member states, according to its website. The report was prepared at the request of member states, Khalaf said."

The report was subsequently revoked by the UN and removed from its website
