Is this the sort of tourist attraction you'd enjoy?

A glass skywalk in the East Taihang Scenic Area in China offers tourists a chance to get a stunning or terrifying experience. The skywalk is built 1180 metres above sea level and it 226 metres long and only two metres wide. Tourists are in for a shock when at one stage the glass below them cracks and is accompanied by sound effects.

I wonder if anyone has yet had a heart attack at the point where the glass appears to break?

No way! It looks bad enough even without the cracky bit. I am sure it is beautiful, but i am a wimp.

I recall roughly the same effect ascending the open metal staircase up to the Fort Troglodytique in La Roque Gageac some years ago, but far more scary must have been when tons of the roof collapsed into the cave one winter, rendering the site inaccessible, and one or two of the properties below uninhabitable.

Cry wolf alert, what when it really breaks?

There will be evidence of people falling or dangling.

Likewise! Although it was a biggie for me, I find it far too disconcerting!

Add to the previous evidence supplied by Clive James and Chris Tarrant that the Chinese and Japanese can be very, very weird!

How in hell did they manage to actually build it in the first place?
