Is this the 'real world' about which I knew nothing - 'Learning Manager'?

Local advert: 'Temporary Learning Manager. Exciting opportunity for someone with previous teaching or tutoring experience to take responsibility for agreed learning activities for groups and whole classes. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills required as well as an understanding of learning processes and the ability to be a positive role model for young people.'

So I must be completely out of touch. What on earth is a 'learning manager', on £10603 for 20 hours a week (pro rata)?

Actually, it is on The Telegraph website - I got it as a local 'news alert'.

@monicabilongame is spot on. I worked in a school which called their CS "Learning Supervisors."
