I was wondering is LinkedIn effective for teachers? Or is there a teacher networking site as well?

In my world (related to education but not in school) it's the networking site that's used to reconnect folk, headhunt and find subcontractors. There are teachers on it, and in my network, but usually because they've got some other role as well as teaching.

As a Headteacher I am active on LinkedIn- not only with my fellow colleagues in the education sector but I also look at the webinars on there, and I also post a lot of content to help aspiring HTs who want to progress and take up a headship in the future.
It’s definitely a useful tool, as long as people understand that it’s not an extension to Facebook or Twitter.
