Due to illness I did not complete my QTS training in the normal period, thus started my NQT year in January. There is discussion that they would like move me in september to a different year. I am not too worried (I don't think) I was just wondering where it stood legally?

Any help guidance would be appreciated.

    Yes of course they can.

You can even move schools, LAs an KSs as well as year groups part way through your NQT year if you like.

I think it would be a good thing for any NQT. Thank of all you have learned this year that you can put into practice immediately in September with your new class. You'll have all those standards met in no time.
  3. There is no issue in changing your yeargroup during induction.
