Is anyone out there using 'Team Teach' in their school?

Discussion in 'Welcome lounge and forum help' started by becks01, Jan 26, 2009.

  1. I work in a primary BESD school and we have just received training on Team Teach as part of a county wide initiative. We have been doing PRICE up until now. It would be great if anyone out there who has been using Team Teach for a while could give me any comments on how they have found it.
  2. We have been trained in team teach techniques for over a year. Have had to do quite a few restraints/holds/escorts in that time and I am SO SO pleased to have had the training. I've always felt safe when having do use any of it and I know the children have been safe. Filling in all the paperwork and reports after is a bit of a pain, but necessary.

  3. Thanks for your response. Have you found the 95% de-escalation side of it useful? It's meant to reduce restraints isn't it? I m interested to know if it's had any effect on reducing restraints in your school?
