Why doesn't Father Christmas have any children of his own?

Because he only comes once a year (and even then, it's down the chimney)!

Hang on - my eighty-two year-old mother will be among the guests!

I did try my 'demo' cracker with my mother and my husband. As well as a joke (Q. What is the best Christmas present in the world? A. A broken drum as it cannot be beaten), I also wanted to include a 'who said that?' Christmas quote. The one I had chosen for the trial run cracker was:
'One can never have enough socks.'
My mother read it as 'One can never have enough sex . . .'

Nope. I have crackers left over from last year in the Christmas Cupboard. That gives me a warm glow.
