I have 6 months left with my current broadband people - talktalk (don't know if that will be left in) and have just phoned to tell them I am moving. They claim I have to start a new 18 or 24 month contract because I am effectively stopping my current contract - all I want is the service put to a different house 1/4 mile away! Anyway we've come to some sort of agreement, but does anybody have any knowledge of a situation like this? I don't particularly want to stay with them and want to ride out my current contract then shop around.
