We use IPC at my school. We are a junior school. In years 4,5 and 6 most music lessons are taught by a specialist music teacher so are taught seperately. When we decided to use IPC I let it run for a year so that people could decide what units they were going to teach and then I redid all the planning to accommodate IPC - it meant I had to alter lots of things. Where the IPC units with music fitted with what I wanted to cover - then we do it - if it doesn't then I do my own thing. I think the IPC music does lots on creative music - well it all seems to be this - and not much on teaching musical skills - we have made it work in our school - but there are still changes to be made - 3 years after starting IPC.
