Before learning journeys and profiles there were teachers who were happy and had the energy to truly enjoy their children whilst still attaining all the goals. Now it's a matter of having to collect and document all this evidence- for who? It's as if we cannot be trusted to assess acurately and record what the children can do. I feel as if I am on trial to prove that what I have said is true and at what expense to those eager faces that I greet each day. far too much time on collecting evidence and not enough letting those children just be children and do what they do best anyway- experiencing and exploring and learning.
