Nothing for ages, and now I have ANOTHER interview - through an agency this time, but still an actual interview and lesson observation. Have worked at this school before. They asked for me to have an interivew, but I didn t send an application. They always come at the same time. Stressed!

Wow, interview without an application! You must really have impressed them last time you were there!
Believe in yourself!

5. Great news welsh!
I also have two "interviews". One for a part time job until the summer in a challenging school, one for a full time job in a nice school.
Got trial days booked (paid, don't worry, I ain't that stupid!) and I just need to make a good impression.
Things might finally be looking up.

I know what you mean, I had nothing and then in October I had two interviews for temporary teaching jobs (9 month contracts) and have now secured an interview for a permanent post this week.
I have found that there are less candidates at my interviews during this time of year too, I think it is a combination of the fact that employed teachers aren't applying at this time of year and also more NQTs have secured jobs at this stage and it eases the competition ever so slightly.
Of course, with temp positions you only get NQTs and unemployed anyway but at my last interview for a 9 month maternity cover I was one of only two candidates to be interviewed! Could be my subject too though as I teach Social Sciences and Health and Social Care so there aren't as many specialists of these subjects.

Since I invented the idea of this for educational jobs, it's really helping masses of people, because it helps you to think straight about what you have that the school needs.
Very very best wishes.
I look forward to a little rush of new threads called Dear Theo - I got that job!
