Interview tomorrow - URGENT ACTIVITY CHOICE HELP!!!

Discussion in 'Teaching assistants' started by rebeccaberridge, Jun 30, 2011.

  1. Hello there everyone,
This is my first post here.
I have an interview tomorrow for a TA position and can't decide what to do for the activity with the children! I have been asked (quote) to "read a story, play a game or do a circle time activity", with 6 Year 3/4 children.
I am a qualified Secondary English teacher, so Literacy would be my strength, but I'm terrified of being too "teachery" and appearing to usurp that position. Do I do something technical which shows I can help improve standards, or something more simple which shows off my interation skills?

  2. Forgot to say, the activity is only for 10 minutes [IMG]

I think they will want to see how you interact with the children.
  4. So the simpler the better, then?
