I'm not sure what else anyone can tell you about 'what is expected' of you during the interview. They want a presentation of the range of teaching and learning strategies you would use within your teaching - 'excellent retention' just means they've learned what you've taught them.
  2. Unless this is an FE or post-16 setting, where it means that students don't drop out of the course before they hit the institution's funding targets (ideally a relevant qualification).
  3. Have a look at the person spec or job description and school/college documents that you have (e.g. OFSTED reports) and think about how your experience and qualifications would allow you to demonstrate how you meet it in your presentation. I.e. as MM said, what do you do with your students to keep them on your course (if you're an FE teacher) and to learn both in your lessons and overall? How do your choice of strategies show that you meet the person spec?
