Interview Questions

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by Lottie03, Nov 28, 2011.

  1. Hi all!

I have my interview for PGCE (Primary) at MMU next Wednesday and getting rather anxious at the thought of it....

Just wondering if anyone who has already been through the process could give some ideas of questions to prepare answers for for my individual interview?

Really appreciate any help/tips/advice/friendly faces who will also be at the interview! :)

  2. I had my interview on friday, some of the questions I was asked:
What qualities do you think a good teacher should have?
Why do you want to teach?
    A question on SEN/inclusion
Safeguarding - what is it/what does it mean to you?
Describe a situation where you have taught a child something
Describe a situation in the classroom that went wrong and what you would do to improve it
Why does the PGCE course appeal to you?
What is your weakest subject? (in terms of teaching national curriculum)
How would you cope with the hectic workload of the PGCE course?
    Hope that helps
  3. Thank you so much - some great questions for me to look into properly!

    Hope your interview went well.
