These are some interview questions I had at the end of last year. They are for a mixture of MFL, Middle School and primary.
MFL
• What would you say to someone who says ' I don' t see the point in learing French, I'm never going to go there anyway'?
• A pupil in your class at GCSE is working towars a D. How would you get them up to a C?
• MFL is now starting to be taught at KS2. How will this affect the teaching in KS3?
• We run a crossaint club at the moment. Can you think of, have you ever done one or would you be willing to be involved in a club with an MFL element?
• What can you bring to the MFL department here?
Secondary/Middle/Primary
These overlap. Also thought I had some more somewhere, but can't find them at the moment.
• Tell me about your lesson. How well do you think it went? What would you change next time?
• A year 9 pupil is distracting the others in the class. What do you do?
• You have a group of disinterested mid-level boys in your class. How will you get their interest?
• What are your hobbies?
• What are your disiplinary procedures?
• How would you give praise in your lessons?
• What can you bring to our school?
• What are your views on extra-curricular activities?
• What do you do to relax/switch off from teaching?
• Apart from - have you ever taught any other subjects and would you be willing to teach other subjects here?
• Can you teach swimming?
• How would your friends describe you?
• How would you cater for different ability groups within your lesson?
• How do you use AFL in your clasroom?
• How would you stretch the Gifted ad Talented pupils in your lesson?
• Can you play an instrument?
Hope these are of some use to people[IMG]
