    Hi all,

I’m looking for intervention strategies that people have found successful in carrying out in science please.

I don't know how well they work but this year we have:

Supplied revision guides to all borderline candidates
Easter holiday revision for targeted students
    Extra lessons after school
e-AQA results analysis to pick up areas where we gained few marks last year
Withdrawn students from other lessons for "science top-ups" in our frees
Re-build the SoW from scratch for year 11
Homework - revision PowerPoints with info, exam questions and exam tips n' tricks. We've made a PowerPoint for most of the units now - each one is about 80 odd pages.

Ours are offered a choice of a PE lesson or maths/science/english intervention in that hour during y11. The ones that have chosen Science have done better than they did before.
