  1. Hello,

I am going to be introducing intervals to my GCSE group after Easter. Does anyone have a little active starter on intervals?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
  2. haha I love it and it's so catchy too. I think that would get them thinking about intervals.

Do you know any starters on introducing compound time signatures?

I usually start by introducing a short 10-minute interval just to get the concept across. We'll then lengthen it as they progress through the Key Stages. By Y13 they should be able to pre-order drinks, effectively judge when to make a sharp exit, maximise alcohol intake within the time limit, ignore the 5 minute and 1 minute warnings, and get back in their seats just as the baton goes down. Music education at its finest. Lennox.
