    Morning all,

I have been tasked with setting up an international language club which promotes the home languages of our many EAL students and staff and also traditional European languages which are taught in school.

I’d really like to have a different activity linked to a language each week but am struggling for some ideas - also keen to link the language and activity to a celebration or event where possible.

The sort of thing I am thinking is:
    - Day of the Dead mask making & Spanish
    - Chinese calligraphy & Chinese
    - Watching an anime film & Japanese

Can anyone help and give me some more ideas? I would like the club to promote other cultures as well as the languages but need activities which I can plan and prepare just in case student recruitment to help out is unsuccessful or a struggle.

    Any help much appreciated!!
