Interest in Midlands Primary Languages Show (and early KS3 too)

Hi everyone. I'm trying to find out if there is any interest in the following:

Following on from the success of the recent NPLS (Northern Primary Languages Show) in York, I have had a meeting with Steven Fawkes from ALLNE to investigate the possibility of hosting a similar event, using his model, in the West Midlands. This would be an Association for Language Learning (ALL) meeting within the ALL Coventry Primary Hub and we are hoping that we will be able to produce a varied programme for both specialist and non-specialist teachers in Primary and early Secondary. The proposed date is a Saturday in late September 2018, venue in Coventry to be confirmed).

Before we can proceed we need to find out if there is enough interest to make it worthwhile

The programme would include 2 plenary sessions and 3 workshop sessions with a choice of themes each time and would run until from 9.30 a.m.to 3.00 p.m. We hope to have a small exhibition also. We aim to keep the fee as low as possible for ALL Members (as at NPLS) and so would ask delegates to bring their own lunch, but there would be drinks and biscuits.

For the event to be viable we would want to be sure of around 50 attendees.

If you would like to register your interest please contact Anna Grainger – a.grainger@aldermansgreen.coventry.sch.uk or leave a comment below, and we will forward further details once they are available, if there is sufficient interest.
