Hi, I'm hoping to take on a couple of pupils for piano lessons and have not taught individual private lessons for a few years now. Can anyone tell me what's the going rate roughly? Many thanks.

  3. I teach youngsters and adults and charge £12 per half hour lesson, which seems reasonable to me, but obviously underpriced compared to that stated above. (But if I put it up, I think I might lose some of my pupils as I know a couple already struggle to keep them going now.)
  4. I think it also depends a bit on what part of the country you are in. I'm in North West London and most teachers I know round here charge at least £30 an hour. I have friends in other parts of GB who say they have to charge less as they just wouldn't get the work.
