incidental welsh

Discussion in 'Cymru - education news' started by Missysquirrel, Nov 15, 2012.

  1. Well, during our last inspection (2008), the bilingual nature of the school in a very Anglicized area was seen as outstanding and all I asked of staff, as Welsh co-ordinator, and still do, was to use Welsh at any given opportunity so all incidental instructions were given in Welsh, and we used NGFL a lot on the whiteboards which the children in the FP used as part of their continuous provision. Every class teacher has lists of colour coded bilingual word lists which they have in an accessible place for them to use as they saw fit (different levels of Welsh comprehension). All the best Daisymay!
