    Hi all
I just wondered if any teachers have any good ideas, tips or activities that help improve long term memory and recall for GCSE students.

    Thanks

Read, Godden and Baddeley(1975):Context of Learning and Craik and Tulving(1975):Level of Processing. Both the above applications may help!

I read the Teaching for Mastery book by Mark McCourt this summer and I think he suggests that only 20% on consolidation questions should be on what you just taught. That's 80% of questions dedicated to improving recall.
